A friend showed me a remix of Adventure Club’s a few months back, and I don’t remember it really ‘clicking’ with me, but last night after having a few drinks and feeling pretty good I decided to go back and check out some more stuff by them on their Soundcloud. The first song I decided to check out was a remix of Brittany Spears ‘Until The World Ends’ which I wasn’t really feeling at all, but then I checked out their remix of Metric’s ‘Close Call’ which is actually really good. Labyrinth Ear - Amber
I was going to post a Smith Westerns remix and decided to save it for the future because this song is too good not to post. Haven’t bothered doing much research on this artists besides listening to another song or two by them, which seem to be more upbeat where this one is more like a “I’m super stoned and need something to take me away”, which this song does quite perfectly given that the female vocals are pretty mesmerizing. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

A remix my recently discovered in the past year favorite artist did of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’. I can’t stand Nikki Minaj, but Mr. Kitty turned a pretty awful song into a beautiful work of art. He has done a bunch of remix’s ranging from, Crystal Castles, Kreayshawn, Metric, Dntel and some others I forget, that are pretty fucking awesome. My favorite being the Metric, and Dntel one. His most recent release ‘Realms’ which sounds like some sort of synth pop, dark wave, post punk influenced type combo is easily my favorite of 2011. Do yourself a favor and listen to this song, check out his soundcloud, and bandcamp. He has like 2 new releases that I know of that he’ll be putting out this year. He has 33 albums just on his bandcamp!

I first came across this song on some random chicks terrible ‘Hello Kitty’ themed tumblr and she had one of those music players that automatically played which I can’t stand, but in this case she got a pass because I pretty much fell in love with this song right away. Anyways, her music taste was obviously too cool for the public to know what exactly she listened to so there was no name of any of the artists on her music player. I spent atleast 45 minutes trying to make out the french lyrics from this song to type into Google so I could find out who the fuck made this song, after almost giving up I finally found it. Downloaded it and listened to it on repeat like 20 times. Anyways, that was a boring story and tells you absolutely nothing about the song, or artists other than I waste too much time finding music. Listen to this, download this. Whatever, it’s a really beautiful remix of some french song I’ve never heard the original of.
